Telugu filmmaker Trinadha Rao Nakkina, renowned for his film Dhamaka, issued an apology for making inappropriate remarks about actor Anshu Ambani's appearance during the teaser launch event of the upcoming film Mazaka. In a video shared on January 13, the director described the incident as unfortunate and clarified that the comments were intended in a light-hearted manner.

He added, "I made those comments in jest, hoping to make everyone laugh. However, if these remarks have hurt you, this is my mistake. I would like to issue a heartfelt apology, as they were objectionable. I will also personally apologise to Anshu. I didn't realise this would become such a significant issue."

Sundeep Kishan, who is taking on the lead role in Mazaka, shared the video on X on Monday and wrote, Yesterday was an unfortunate slip of the tongue by Dir #NakkinaTrinadhRao. It's a wrong example to set & we should have been cautious to avoid it."
